From the rail to the box: carcass tags, hot and cold weights, shrink, primal and subprimal breakdown, and yield you can actually hold someone to — all on one lot record that follows the animal from live receiving to shipped box.
Beef lives or dies on yield, and yield is only as good as the weights behind it. PPS tags the carcass at the rail — supplier, animal ID, lot, and weight on one tag — then captures the hot weight at harvest and the cold weight after the cooler, so shrink is measured instead of estimated. Every weight lands against the animal it came from.
From there the carcass breaks down the way your floor actually works: primals and subprimals weighed and labeled as they come off, each one carrying its parent lot. Boxes go out on catch weight labels with the real weight on them, and custom-exempt cut sheets print per customer for the animals that belong to somebody before they ever hit the rail.
Weights come off a Rice Lake 1280 indicator wired to your monorail scale at the rail and to platform and bench scales downstream — supplied, installed, and calibrated by the same team that sets up the software. If you harvest your own, PPS Harvest Lite covers the kill floor; if you need inventory, order fulfillment, and QuickBooks behind it, PPS Full runs the whole plant. Compare every tier to see where you fit.
Every PPS purchase includes monthly support and unlimited updates, backed by the same technicians who install and calibrate your scales. Expanded support contracts are available — we'll scope the right plan with your quote.
Bring us one kill sheet and a cut list — we'll show you the yield report that comes out the other side.
